Hashimoto or?

Dear doctor Marc,
I`m a doctor at the last year of cardiology and i`m very concerned about my health ultimately. I`have  examined Thyroid function and the datum are:  TPO: 170; TSH: 12: free-T3;T4 normal: Echo=Hypoekogen dexter.

I wish to have yours e-mail if that is possible. Sorry for any erratum( I`m from Albania)

Julia,

You have subclinical hypothyroidism due to Hashimoto's.  Would consider treating with levothyroxine to normalize the TSH to 0.3-2.5 range.  This will be especially important if you are planning any pregnancy in the near future.
