The Tg-antibodies make it more difficult to track the cancer, but the antibody level can be followed and used as a "surrogate" marker.
What was the 5cm nodule removed 3 weeks ago? Was that a persistent cancer in the neck??
It is difficult to assess this situation without more information, but the ongoing evaluation would include ultrasounds of the neck, Tg & Tg-antibodies and at least one I-131 whole body scan (as planned).
Thank you very much Dr Lupo for taking time off to answer my question. I really appreciate it very much. To your question, was the 5cm nodule a persistant cancer, "Yes, it was"
