Hot Nodules with low TSH and normal/low T3 & T4

Hello  ~

I was recently diagnosed with multiple (3) hot nodules on the right side of my thyroid and a cold nodule on my left side.  FNA of left cold nodule indicates that it is benign.  TSH is .05, FT3 is 3.9 and FT4 is .89.  Physical symptoms are random palpitations, heat intolerance and restlessness.  However - I am lethargic and unmotivated.

Am I considered hyper although my T3 and T4 are not high?

Endo is suggesting RAI or surgery.

Thanks for any help.

Hello ~

Thanks for your response.   Are there any other options?  Is there any chance the nodules will ever function as normal again?

Thanks

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Yes - this is hyperthyroidism (subclinical) due to hot (overactive) nodules on the right.
RAI or surgery are the usual choices for this situation, especially if you are having symptoms.
