please help me with these test results

I recently had a thyroid untrasound done and I need help with these results:

Isthmus .62cm
Right thyroid lobe 5.6x2.4x2.4cm
left thryroid lobe 5.1x2.1x1.8

findings:  There is heterogeneous echogenicity throught the thyroid gland.  There is mild hypervascularity.

There is a 1.3 x.7 cm heterogeneous hypoechoic solid nodule along the mid pole of the left lobe
There is a 1.4x1.11 cm cystic-solid nodule along the posterior aspect of the mid pole of the left lobe
There is a 1.5 x 1.2 cm heterogeneous hyperechoic solid nodule along the lower pole of the right lobe
There are a few small cervical lymph nodes adjacent to the thyroid gland measuring 1.3 x .4 and 1.6 x .4 on the left and 2 x.4 on the eight.  No pathologically enlarged lymphadenopathy is seen.

Please help me understand this better!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
The heterogeneous gland is likely due to autoimmune thyroid disease (usually Hashimoto's).  The nodules may need further evaluation including FNA biopsy but these may be inflammatory changes and nodularity due to the autoimmune thyroid disease.  The lymph nodes are commonly seen in Hashimoto's.
Would test TSH, T4 and TPO antibodies to help clarify the thyroid status.
