I was diagnosed with Thyroiditis 12 months ago but the symptoms went unchecked for a period of 12 months prior to that. My Endocrinologist said that it would take up to 12 months for the tyroid to recover and during that time I should start to feel better. At the time of diagnosis, I was told that follow up blood work would be needed to ensure that the thyroid levels were getting back to normal and that no medication was needed at that time. My blood work has been back to normal for around 6 months now but I still don't feel OK. Can Thyroiditis present itself with "normal" bloodwork? Since my diagnosis, I've had terrible heart palpitations and had to be referred to a Cardiologist and after several tests, I was diagnosed with benign PVC's but he said that could be caused by the Throiditis. My question is - should I go back to my doctor and if I do and he says that the thyroiditis has returned or has never left, what medication can I take?
