Papillary carcinoma

I have 8.0 mm Follicular Variant of papillary carcinoma my lyph nodes were clear, my cancer is not encapsulated and is .01cm from the painted external surface. the mid to superior thyroid contains diffuse pale grey-tan nodules (.01-.03 cm ).
My doctor doese not want me to take RAI because he told me that the cancer is too small. Need to know your suggestion in this matter.....I'm worried, I don't want to have a recurrence, please advise on what to do, and what is the follow up procedure ?
thank you,

He's right about the small cancer size - the only question would be the margin (0.01cm from surface) -- would ask the pathologist if this would count as minimal extra-thyroidal extension -- if so, consider low dose RAI, else monitor without RAI.  Most likely RAI is not needed in your case.

back to my  comment I wrote 0.01 CM from the external surface. it is actually 0.1 cm from external surface.

Any way, thank you doctor for your advice .
