Hyperthyroidism
I am just done my uptake scan, the nurse said I need an ultrasound my neck then after taken a pictures they said I don't need the ultrasound, pls help me why? Thanks!
Doc, I have a question, If I get the radioactive iodine and my hyperthyroidism will go away do I still have to take the medication ? What is the best thing I can do? Pls I need help thanks!

It depends on why the uptake was done - if for hyperthyroidism, US is not always needed, but if for a nodule, then US is important.
