Parathyroid diagnosis/dr Los angeles?

Hello all,
I am fairly sure I have a parathyroid problem, though my numbers are borderline.  Ca is borderline high and my PTH is borderline high.  Urinary calcium is off the charts.  I have osteoporosis, and markers for bone breakdown are really really high. (I am 31)
I finally got a dr. to order a sestamibi scan, and now after reading Dr. Norman's site, I am so scared it will be falsely negative and I'll be sol.
Has anyone had success with this in Los Angeles?  the scan is supposed to be at Cedars... but  now I feel like I have one shot at this!  is that the best place to go?
any other ideas?

At age 31, if you have even very early primary hyperpara, it is best to have surgery.  The scan is NOT to make a diagnosis or decide on surgery (it is only to help localize the source of the problem) -- the diagnosis is based on blood testing.
