Thyroid Ultrasound

Please, I need some help! I've been trying to find an endocrinologist that will listen to me to no avail. For right now I'd be happy w/ some input about the results of this ultrasound:

"Enlarged right and left lobes of thyroid noted. Right lobe is 4.60 x 1.86 cm. Left lobe is 4.62 x 1.73. In the mid right lobe, 0.78 x 0.41 1.0 cm size hypoechoic nodule noted. Color Doppler showws peripheral vascularity. Echogenoic pattern of the left lobe is nonhomogeneous. Isthmus is unremarkable. No nodule, left lobe.

Impression: enlarged right & left lobes of the thyroid w/ nonhomogeneous echo pattern. Hypoechoic nodule right middle lobe 0.78 x 0.41 x 1.0 cm size w/ peripheral vascularity. "

Thank you

I highly recommend you to visit a Dr. ASAP. I have hypothyroidism and I'm 2 months pregnant. They put me on Levothyroxin 75mcg before I was on 50mcg. Once you visit a Dr. they will prescript you some pills. They told me to NOT miss a dose because that can harm my baby. I had 1 misscarriage last September :( good luck.

I have a hyperthyroid and haven't been seen for it in years. Just recently got pregnant with no problems. And all I've heard is that I have a huge chance to miscarriage. I need facts. I'm scared. Don't want to loose a child.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
This is a small nodule that is borderline for needing FNA biopsy.  Risk of cancer for nodules in general is 5-10%.  A nodule like this would not likely cause any symptoms.
