Thyroid levels indicating both hypo and hyper

approx 1yr ago I was diagnosed with post-partum thyroiditis (started hyper then to hypo then "normal" as per blood work" altough I was still symptomatic)  I was told that after a year I would level out. It has now been 16 mos. post partum and I still feel horrible (tired, shaky, losing hair, nervous, hot flashes, etc.)  Recent test results are as follows:
T3 Free  353  T3 total:  244    T4 total 12.5   T4free 1.3
TSH 1.13   T3 uptake 20.3

My doctor says that it should not be treated medicinally until my TSH level changes.  Is this true?  I heard OCP's can affect thyroid levels, I am on Yasmin.. should I stop taking it?  Any advice or help would be much appreciated!!

Your thyroid is normal at this point.  THe Total T4 & T3 are slightly elevated due to the Yasmin but this is a lab issue and NOT true thyroid disease.  From a thyroid standpoint you don't need to stop the Yasmin -- unless that is the reason you are feeling horribly -- a trial of another OCP may help sort that out.  No thyroid treatment is needed, it appears that you have recovered from the postpartum thyroiditis (as most women do).
