Question about goiter

Ever since I was about 7 years old I've had slight goiter and I've always been just slightly overweight. Whenever I've been tested for hypothyroidism the tests always come back negative. Why would my thyroid be enlarged if there were apparently nothing wrong with it?

certain medications can do this as well, but not likely if you've had it since 7

Iodine deficiency, autoimmune thyroid problems or simply normal for you....
If in doubt, see a thyroid specialist to make certain all is okay.
