I was taking medicine for my thyroid when I was in grade school around 3rd or 4th grade. And continued till I was in my teens. Then stopped taking it without a Dr.'s approval. I can't remember the reason I did, I just know I had quit taking it. I did not notice any major symptoms for not taking it for quite a while, but when I got in (24 year of age) car accident and did something to my jaw, 2 years later I started having chronic tension headaches 24 7. Fatigue set in evenutally, but was minimal, till over a period of time till now I am really dragging my feet to get around. I contributed it to fibromyagia which had set in since I had TMD. I have had blood work up for thyroid a couple times not to long in the past, only to have it turn up normal. My question is, can I still have a problem with my thyroid still even if tests are not showing it up, since I had it as a child and into my teens. I have many of the symptoms of hypothyriodism. Just wonder if I need other tests to be done to cause it to show up.
