I am a 54 year old male and have been diagnosed with cfids. I had my thyroid tested and would like to know what you would make of the test results. t4 free 1.8 - tsh 3rd generation 0.01 - triiodothyronine reverse 362. Are these numbers something you would  feel should be addressed?

I wrote to you about my thyroid test results and you stated that they were most consistent with hyperthyroidism. My doctor prescribed Triiodo-l-thyronine Sod at 10mcg for ten days then graduating to 25mcg for ten days then 35.7mcg for ten days and finally 50mcg for ten days. I was hoping you could explain more about this medication and if you find it consistent with what you would consider the proper treatment for the results of my thyroid test.

This is most consistent with hyperthyroidism.  Would consult with an endocrinologist to determine the cause and if treatment is needed.
