Thought I posted a comment earlier, but looks like it got lost. Anyway, Based on my personal experience, I would first get a copy of the thyroid test results and see what the results were, compared to the recommended ranges. If for example the T4 and T3 were at the low end of their range, and TSH at the high end, this is often where the Endo decides you are "normal" and does not recommend any treatment. In the last few years, the TSH range has been revised to exclude possible hypothroid patients, so now the new range limit is 3, instead of 5. In spite of this many labs and Drs. are still using the ojld range limit, in deciding on treatment or not. Even if they decide to treat you, it does little good in relieving your symptoms if they only give you enough thyroid med. to slightly lower the TSH. If you want to know where you really stand, use Dr. Broda Barnes basal temperature test, as a starting point. You can find out a lot about this on various sites about Dr. Barnes. I used my basal temp. results and my symptoms to push my Dr. to prescribe thyroid med. and now I'm taking a full daily replacement of 200 mcg. T4 and T3 in the high end of the curve and TSH at the very low end. Symptoms gone and I feel great.
This is not a thyroid storm -- a storm is a hyperthyroid crisis requiring intensive care in the hospital.
This sounds like borderline hyperthyroidism - sometimes a trial of low dose tapazole to normalize the numbers and re-evaluate symptoms will help clarify if the thyroid is playing a role in how you feel at this point.
Thank you so much for your response! It's nice to hear that someone understands me!! I will get my T4 and T3 results and start keeping better track for myself. I'm happy to also have hope that I CAN feel better!! Thank you again!!!
