Hello Dear Doctor:
I do not have any opportunity to ask any such professional, I thought perhaps I could ask, please.
About 10 days ago I finished receiving rabies Postexposure Prophilaxis vaccine (PEP – boosters due to being immunized before as being dog trainer) by IMOVAX for some possible post exposure situation. Very occasionally, like once every 7 or 8 days, and only once during such particular day, I use over the counter eye drops which is: "Rhoto" Eye drops for eye irritation in small quantities as per direction and which eye drops contain the following ingredients: - Hypromellose 0.2%, Tetrahydrozoline HCI 0.05% and Zinc Sulfate 0.25%.
Additionally, very seldom (once a week or less) I use very small quantities of over the counter Hydrocortisone 1% topical solution "Cortizone 10" on my skin at one or two spots at the time and in a very small amounts on the skin area as big as 1 cent coin size of the area.
I know that there are some drug interactions with different drugs regarding the above rabies vaccine that could interfere with it, however I do not know if the above and described here over the counter medications used very ocassionally could also interfere as well, and I am concerned? My question is if such very occasional applications of the above over the counter medications could possibly interfere somehow with my present PEP rabies vaccines that I recently received? Otherwise, I do not take any other medications at all. Please let me know. I hope I am O.K.!
I trust this will receive your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
Respectfully yours,
Andy
