Help!

I am on my third cycle of clomid beginning tonight.  The last two I took it on days 5-9, 50mg.  My doc wants me to take it this cycle from days 3-7 (starting tonight), 100mg.  I am wondering why?  I have been ovulating...it's just that the first two IUI's did not take for me!  Slightly nervous about the higher dosage and starting early.  I felt pretty lousy on just 50mgs.

Any advice would be appreciated!!  Thanks!

My RE started me right off at 150mg of clomid in Oct. 2010, since I don't ouvlate and I don't have any side effects from clomid and also I was as 225 of Follistim & Gonal-F shots, since my follicles don't grow either :-( my luck huh...

This is my 2nd try for IUI and this month he started me at 200mg of clomid days 4-8 and started the Follistim shot at 75 and just yesterday he raised up it up to 225.... My follicels don't want to grow latey :-( IDK what is wrong... And its hard since I have to pay everything out of pocket... Tomorrow will be my 6th u/s....

This was just my third cycle of Clomid.  Was on 50 Mg for the other two cycles.  This time was 100mg.  Tomorrow I go for my U/S and bloodwork.  Hopefully they won't have a hard time finding my right ovary (which they always do and it HURTS)....since that is the ovary that should be ovulating this month.  We will see.  I am hoping the third time is the charm.  IUI will probably be next week, depending on their findings!  BFP in both of our futures hopefully!!!!  SSBD to you dear!

it's great that you are being monitored regularly, it's really important..
when I was on Clomid, we were trying with timed intercourse and my RE wasn't monitoring me at all..she wanted me to do 6 cycles of clomid and wasn't worried about my lining getting thin and other side effects...glad I switched my doctor...
how many cycles of clomid have you done so far?
hope all these side effects are worth it and we get our BFPs soon : )

Hi and thanks for your advice!  I am being monitored throughout the cycle for my third IUI.  I hope that this time, with the higher dosage of Clomid and the earlier schedule of taking it will actually make a difference and be successful!!!  I sure hope so!!  I started it last night and the only side effects I have are fatigue, headache, nausea and body aches.  Very very tired.  Hopefully this will work.  Last night was only the first night....I can imagine how I will feel has it builds up in my system.  Ugh.  Thanks Piscean!!!

Hi there! I was prescribed clomid 100 mg on days 3-7 ... And as far as i know, the earlier you take it, the sooner you ovulate; on my non medicated cycles i was ovulating anywhere from day 17 to day 28... Clomid did make me ovulate on day 14 each time.
Having said that, if you are worried about the side effects, you might want to give a quick call to your Dr.
Are you getting monitored during the cycle?
