I disagree somewhat, but not totally.  Normally, BDing a couple days before your smiley (+ OPK) and a day after is what I hear is recommended.  Keep track of your cycles, and your periods and start tracking your ovulation as soon as your period is over.  Once you keep track of your cycles, you will have a round about estimation as to when you will ovulate.  Bding a couple days before ovulation is suggested because sperm will live inside of you 3-5 days long.  My OB always say, try to get those swimmers in your fallopian tube right BEFORE you ovulate so that a sperm is ready to fertilize your egg once its released. Fertilization almost always occur in the fallopian tube.  if you wait until you get a positive OPK, you might miss your chance since eggs only live 12-24 hours.  You might ovulate today at 8pm, get a positive OPK tomorrow, and might miss your chance if you bd at 9p.m.  Understand?  Try to keep track of your cycles.  that's important.  My periods are every 24 days.  I definately ovulate at CD 11, or CD 12. I get my happy face on CD12, most of the time. My leutal phase is 12 days.  I try to BD on Days 10 and 12 and again on 13!  Good Luck.

I don't think whether it is morning or evening makes a difference. After I would get a positive opk I just tried to bd as often as possible within the next 3 days of getting the positive. Good luck. SSBD to you.
