Sore breasts after a spotty "period"

Okay, so i had posted on here earlier about my period being weird.  I haven't been very regular in having periods around the same time every month, but I usually at least have one heavy day and then a few regular flow days.  This cycle, I'm not sure if I could count this as a normal period.  I only used 3 tampons during the whole cycle, and they were mainly as a precaution, I didn't need to change them.  Now the spotting has stopped and my breasts are still tender. I typically don't have sore breasts during my period so this is on.  My DH and I have been ttc for 5 months now. I ovulated May 31, and the spotting began June 6th.....since I just ended my last period on the 22nd of May this seems too early for a period, even for my wacky cycles.  Can anyone relate?  Why the spotting? Will a "normal" period ever show? Why the sore breasts?

Thanks for any responses!

I have taken two tests, both dollar tree ones.  The first one I took yesterday had a super faint line, hardly even there, and I tested today and the line was still light, but darker than yesterday.  I have an e.p.t that I was saving to use if I got some positives on the cheap tests.  I will take that tomorrow morning.  Hopefully that will be positive too!

Not sure but the spotting could be implantation bleeding. If you just ovulated May 31st then it's too early for your period. You know you could probably test now, it's been past 14 days since you ovulated, if you haven't gotten AF yet then I'd be testing!
