coming off the pill

okay, so i've been on the pill for 4 years and i stopped taking it in feb and my cycles have been very irregular ranging from 26, 45, 14 days. i was wondering about anyone else trying to get pregnant after the pill and how long it took to get pregnant.

I was on the pill for 10 years and came off it in Novemebr 2009.  I have been TTC since then with no luck.  My clycles have been all over the place and I have only ovulated 3 times since coming off the pill.  It is so frustrating and my doctor is saying it is because of the pill.  I can't believe that it is the pill that is making my cycles so crazy but I guess it does happen to some people.  Doctor won't test for anything or give me any pills until we have been TTC for a year too....so I have to keep trying and waiting.

I was only on the pill for 6 months.  I came off the pill a month and half ago.  I was silly and stopped it halfway through the pack.  I am now on 11 dpo and due for my period 25 June.  I am really hoping it doesn't come.

I took a First Response Pregnancy Test yesterday and it came up negative.  I think I will try and do one tomorrow. It's so hard all the waiting and hoping.

thanks. AF came yesterday, but I normally don't spot beforehand. :( very sad and wondering when I;m finally going to get pregnant. going into 6th month trying. I have a very high regard for those who have had it worse. this is hard lol

light spotting can also be a sign AF is on the way, i get this every month from about 5DPO until the day AF arrives with a heavy flow.  In honesty the only way to know is a missed period.  Good luck

thanks for responding :) I'm really disappointed because i was in my 2ww and yesterday and today I've had some very light spotting but all tests have been negative :(

It took me about a year and even still my cycle would come up with some surprises! I was able to get pregnant a year and 1 month after coming off the pill...we only started really trying and paying attention 3 months before. I had a miscarriage and then got pregnant again in another 3 months.

i am still ttc after 3 years but only found out 2 months ago i have fertility problems.  It can take a womans body up to a year to regulate again after coming off of bc some women conceive first attempt others have to wait up to 2 years or more.  I would speak to your doc about giving you something to regulate your cycle otherwise, don't stress and have fun trying but you may be in for a long wait but hopefully not.  Best of luck!!!
