220 sed rate

anyone have any idea why my sed rate would be 220 my drs are baffled

Thank you so much for the advice:)my dr is running more blood work but they say i am a mystery all i know is i have been sick and in bed for two weeks i was concerned if for any reason it would have anything to do with the arachnoid cyst on my left frontal lobe,for a year now i have had severe knee pain and the past couple weeks lower spinal pain and kneck pain

An elevated ESR does confirm inflammation in the body. Most common cause of such a high ESR is tuberculosis. It could also be a wrong reading. So repeat the test and see. If it still shows such a high reading then TB should be ruled out first. Other inflammatory bowel conditions like IBS, Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis, other inflammatory diseases like lupus and rheumatoid arthritis etc should all be looked into.
