Various things I'm worried about, please help.

Female/22/120lbs/Pretty Inactive

I have a few things that I am worried about. One would be the lightheadedness that I feel on many occasions. Sometimes it will occur multiple times a day. I've noticed that it has become more frequent. I believe most of the time it happens when I'm standing, but not like when I go from sitting to standing. I will have already been standing and it happens. It is also accompanied by weird vision as if I've looked at the sun too long. Another is that I've noticed a ringing in my ears these past few months. I usually notice it later in the day and really when I go to bed. I believe it is constant throughout the day, but the volume of it fluctuates. My legs have been falling asleep a lot. This may be due to not enough movement as I don't go out much and am currently unemployed, but I noticed the other day that my arm fell asleep as well as my leg and I hadn't been laying on them wrong. I was actually laying on my back as I've been trying not to cut off any circulation. Sometimes after eating the left side of my abdomen will bloat, but not my right. At first I thought I was letting my worried mind get to me, but there is definitely a difference in size on the left. This doesn't happen every time I eat. I think it's specific foods, but I'm not sure which ones.

Last august my doctor said I had high cholesterol and I am currently waiting for my blood test to see if my diet change has fixed that. I turned vegetarian about 2 months ago. I am currently on no medications besides birth control. Last time my doctor checked my blood sugar was fine. My blood pressure is normal and sometimes low. I've had swollen lymph nodes on the back part of my neck for a few months now and the glands right underneath my jaw have been fluctuating in size throughout the day for 2-3 months now.  I'm going to a neck specialist Thursday to get those checked. Umm, nothing else I can think of right now. Ask me anything that you think might help figure these things out. Thank you.

Next time you go to the doctor ask them to take a hematocrit. This is a measure of the number of red blood cells in the body. Females tend to be somewhat anemic. Low hematocrit, together with dehydration, are the most likely causes of your lightedheadedness. Vegetarians often develop a low hematocrit because of an iron deficiency.

I've been to the eye doctor to get new glasses. I received the regular eye exam, but I'm not sure if that's the doctor you're asking about. I've noticed that it hasn't happened to me recently, within the past 2 weeks. I have been back on my leafy greens and have been pushing myself to move more. I admit I am very inactive for a young person. I am unemployed at the moment so my days are spent sitting around my house, a lot. I had also been slacking in eating my greens. I know that when you go from sitting to standing too fast that the weird vision and lightheadedness is due to a drop in blood pressure. Could my blood have not been circulating properly due to my lack of eating right?

Hi. I'm sorry that you're having these problems. Have you seen an ophthalmologist about your vision?
