A sharp pain around the thigh joint.

I have been experiencing a sharp pain intermittently around my thigh joint for about 4 months now. The pain happens exactly around the upper thigh just beside the scrotum. The pain feels like a bite of an ant or scorpion but only lasts for few seconds(less than 10 seconds). Please what could be responsible for this, could it be an infection?

Hard to say what this could be, but sometimes pain in the groin area (between the thigh & genital area) can be due to a prblm w/ the hip joint. I suggest you see a reg Dr ( GP) 1st, if he or she can’t help, ask for a referral to a specialist (maybe an Orthopedic Dr). Good luck & let us know what’s found…
