Dear all,
Since late 2016 (almost a year) I suffer from a type of cognitive impairment "brain fog" that occurs from the morning until ""sometime between 4-7 pm in the afternoon. So late in the afternoon I feel better and more energetic and I can do actual work for a few hours. During the time I have this "brain fog" I sit in front of my PC unable to do anything that requires serious mental effort. I am close to losing my job. I noticed that I also have a very mild headache at this time.
Another symptom is that I do not sleep very well. I mean feel physically rested in the morning, but like the whole night through where I am in a state half-asleep. I guess I am not getting enough deep sleep. However, even when there is a good day with enough sleep I still feel unable to perform like I described above.
Some recent related tests that the GP performed on me
Thyroid TSH: 2.79μIU/ml, T4:9,51 μg/dl
B12:427pg/mL
D3(25-OH): 22.2 ng/mL (I am taking supplement to raise it)
I just came from a psychiatrist and he wants to give me sleeping pills (no discovered anxiety or depression).
I know I am not looking for a diagnosis here. But my quality of life is so degraded and I would appreciate a ny hint towards a direction. Many thanks to all of you.
