Metallic taste in mouth

I have had a metallic taste in my mouth for the past 5 months with a bad cough. When I go to bed I have the additional problem of all sorts of funny noises, whistles coming from my chest.  My doctor has given me very strong antibiotics but it still persists.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You probably have post nasal drip and GERD, both contributing to the cough and metallic taste. You could also be having asthma like condition and antibiotics will not help. Try OTC antacid gel, decongestant and Omeprazole and see if it helps. Consult a doctor and discuss this.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Was the metallic taste before or after taking the antibiotics?

No chest X-rays and/or Pulmonologist referral after five months?
