Red spots resembling bugbites on arms and chest/abdomen with no other symptoms...

The rash developed with no other symptoms. The bumps are painless and don't itch. There are both spots that look like bugbites (round and slightly raised) and asymetrical blotches. The spots are separate papules, light pink, not blister-like and slightly raised, some with dry skin on the surface. The spots a relatively few and spread out, unlike pictures I've seen and rashes I've seen with dense collections of redness and bumps. I've had chicken pox as a child, and am 20.

I got a full-panel STD test a couple times outside of the window period but the stuff being tested for, and it was fine. I am experiencing no other symptoms, and no fever. I'm uninsured and can't afford going to a doctor right now, let alone a specialist. Does it seem important that I go, being that there are no other symptoms and no itchiness or pain?

My fiance had these same spots a couple years ago. Turned out to be shingles. Looks EXACTLY like your images, the only difference was that his started to hurt (a lot). But they started out red and got dry and brown just like you described. The dermatologist gave him medication which cleared it up and he's been fine since.

I have them on my chest, back, stomach and a huge one in the center of my back. Weird have always had great skin. The Nurse I work for said it's a possible viral type rash "big word", but the big one in the middle looked a bit like ring worm (fungus). So I got the anit-fungal cream tonight. But it sure doesn't explain all those red dots all over me????

Rashes like this may be a symptom of tick borne infection.

I would suggest getting some clear pictures for future reference.
I read on another board a description of a rash that sounded very much like yours, but then could not locate your thread to alert you to that information.  (Sorry about that.)

The rash is still there, and it's been a little over a week. It's not spreading, but flattening, fading and getting some dryness on the bumps. Still no other symptoms, just very seldomly some minor itching.
