Trouble swallowing saliva

Sometimes for the last couple years, I have had trouble swallowing my saliva. I have asked my friends if they ever experience this, but nobody seems to experience this ever. It only happens to me sporadically but unless I drink something then i absolutely cannot swallow my own saliva. It is literally impossible. Does anybody know what this is?
Thanks,
CornManDan

Hello~It could be stress related and when you drink water, you force the muscles in your throat to contract so you can swallow. If it continues, I would call and ask your doctor or nurse.
