23yo Constant backache and problems

Hi all, I'm a 23 year old female. I have 2 kids (2y and 3m) since having my 1st (54hr back labour) I have had constant back problems. The problem is getting worse though to the point I can't bend down to put youngest into bouncy chair or lift him without shouting in pain. If I sit on the floor for more than 5 minutes it takes me about 5 minutes and a lot of grunting to get up again then another couple minutes to walk properly. I've been doctors before and they said it's to be expected it will get better soon enough just keep exercising with gentle walks etc and no impact exercise. I'm getting seriously down about it now as I can't live a normal life with my boys. Any ideas what's wrong with me or what I can do to improve it?
