I am 20 yo female. I spent over a year with increasing symptoms of nausea. I went to see the doctor numerous times, given multiple pregancy tests. After every test came back negative, the doctor told me it was my gallbladder. I progressively got worse and began vomitting, fever, and no energy to even leave bed. I had a hida scan, which turned out my gallbladder was only working in the 30% range which was far lower than the typical 80% range for my age, I had my gallbladder out a couple weeks later. After the removal of my gallbladder, I got worse. The pain became constant, everything I ate made me sick, and still continues too. I often have to use the bathroom without much warning. The pain is unbareable sometimes. It is mostly in my upper abdomen straight through to my mid back as well, sometimes though it spreads up or down my back and in my lower abdomen. Doing physical activity makes me dizzy and extremely nauseous, usually come close to throwing up if not actually throwing up. I am miserable, I only survive because of phenergan, but I am a college student and athlete and I can't keep up anymore. I read a post on here from 1999, a woman had similar symptoms to me and mentioned kidney infections. Around the time I got really sick, the doctor told me I had a UTI, and put me on Cipral (sp?), that was in June, I got 2 more by August. Just as I read a previous woman say, Cipral helped but did not solve any problems. My last "infection" was the worst, the pain in my kidney region was unbareable and I could not even get out of bed. I am confused because I have never had a UTI or kidney infection prior to June and am and have not been sexually active while any of this has been going on. I have been given complete STD testing and they all came back negative. I have had an ultrasound and x-ray of my abdomen, both coming back negative. I hvae been waiting to get into a GI doctor, but still have over a month to even get my intial consultation. I am losing my mind! Any help would be fantastic!
