I have a lump on my left clavical. The doctor thinks its a ganglion cyst. I thought these only occured on the ankle, knee, and wrist? Can you confirm?

I have a ganglion cyst on each side of my sternoclavicular joint, the right side is bigger than the other, and they are getting bigger. I am contemplating removing them through surgery, and I have had 3 doctors different opinions. It is very rare to have them on the clavicle

Yes, they can occur on the collar bone, although that is unusual.

You are correct, they only occur in the ankle, wrist, hand, fingers, foot, and knee.  I have not found anything that says they can occur on the collar bone.  Uhm maybe you should find a new doctor and get a second opinion.  That is what I would do if I were you, especially if you are considering surgery to have it removed.
