Sounds like you may have something going on with your neck. Have you hurt yourself, lifted anything heavy, done anything different lately? Becuase most of your pain is with movement that would be my guess. A chiropractor, osteopath or start with your PCP. In the mean time try hot and cold on you neck off and on.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
One possibility is that you are suffering from ‘benign intracranial hypertension’(BIH). This happens due to impaired CSF absorption. A generalized throbbing headache worst felt in the morning and last thing at night. This headache is generally relieved on standing (consistent with raised intracranial pressure). It is aggravated by straining, coughing, sneezing or a change in position. You need a prompt evaluation by a neurologist. Hypothyroidism, hypoparathyroidism, and adrenal insufficiency are a few things I would recommend you get investigated for. These can precipitate BIH. A spinal tap is a must both to diagnose the condition and to treat it.
The other possibility is a pinched cervical spinal nerve. Again you need to consult a neurologist. Take care!
