Itchy red hand

I think its an allergic reaction to something but I'm not allergic to anything but living birds and i haven't touched one in over 2 years. This has been going on for 2 days now, my hand is red, itchy and has white dots all over it. Not white white but you know when you touch a sun burn and the skin turns white for a few seconds, its like that. My whole hand has puffed up at this point. I have been putting it in cold water so i don't try to itch it. I cant recall touching anything i haven't already touched a million times before, although my grandpa has shingles and he got tested last week before we knew what it was and i was putting some lotion on it to ease his pain, my hand doesn't hurt but it could also be a possibility. I dont know, if anyone has an idea the floors open.

You are very welcome.

Since you have not had chicken pox, the rash on your hand might be shingles starting, I say might because the vaccine should give some protection against it, but, I guess it can happen.

If it is not better in a week, then it probably would be a good idea to see your doctor.

Hello~

Have you had Chicken pox? I ask because if you have, Shingles are NOT contagious.

As to what it could be, I wish I could give you more info, I highly suggest seeing either your doctor or dermatologist, they can look at it and probably give you a better answer.
