Help!

I am 15 years old and have been having trouble for about a year now. I used to be really smart and considered a genious by like, everybody. However, I have been having trouble lately with my mind. My head hurts sometimes, and I get dizzy spells and have passed out once. Spacing out is becoming very frequent, and I am now having trouble understanding what people are saying, or what I am reading. People will try to talk to me about something which happened yesterday, or even 5 minutes ago, and I don't know what they're talking about because my memory is fading. I was switching classes in school and didn't remember where I was or what I was doing, and came back from outside before, and tried to get in a locker on the other end of the hallway. I thought it was mine. These were both near the middle of the year and I pretty much had the school blueprints memorized. Father won't take me to the doctor's because these are not symptoms people my age get, but I am. I am pretty big into science and think I know what's going on, but need an assurance. I am losing vision in eye and hearing in my ear as well. Both are on the same side, and I get nautious in the mornings. My speach is becoming almost uncomprehendable to some because I can't explain things well, or my speach slurrs. Even my reflexes are becoming a little slower. What's wrong with me?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You need to consult a neurologist immediately. The symptoms can be due to benign intracranial hypertension or due to a tumor in the brain.
Extreme tiredness, hypoglycemia or low blood sugar, high blood sugar, kidney problems causing brain fog, liver problems causing brain fog, low electrolytes, very high blood pressure, alcohol or drug intoxication, etc can all cause slurred speech. Please do not ignore this and consult a doctor ASAP or maybe go to the ER.  MRI of the brain, dental examination, nerve conduction studies, kidney and liver function tests etc will be required.
Consult school doctor or nurse or teacher and ask them to talk to your parents.
Take care!

Anya,  please don't attempt vitamin therapies or nutrition for this.

Your life is at risk.  You need medical intervention.

You have classic symptoms of a brain tumor.  Your school nurse will recognize this if you go in and talk to her,  and she can access your academic record to see that you've been a good student.  And when you express your symptoms,  you will get help.

Don't take this lightly.

Well honestly girl, the first and most important thing is talking to your dad about taking you to the doctor to get that diagnosed, that is a serious problem. but I can tell you that I had problems like that I am struggling with? what is your diet like? I can tell you that what caused all those problems for me was a deficiency in B-12 and B-6 as well as being low on iron or being anemic. that sounds like what you may be having problems with. Send me a email in my inbox if you would like and i'll see what I can do to help out. what are you eating, what's your diet? all you have to do is by those vitamins and that normally can help. it's been helping me so much. Did you know that if you are deficient in B12 long enough it can make you blind and deaf?

Anya,  you don't say what country you live in,  but if you live in the US,  go to your school counselor or nurse and say everything you've said in this post.  Print it out if that would make it better,  so you don't forget any of it.

Grouped all together,  these are very serious symptoms and deserve medical attention.  If your father is denying you medical attention you need,  the counselor or nurse can see that you get seen by a doctor.

Best wishes.
