I'm worried about excessive deep breathing

A few months ago my doctor prescribed Sirdupla to manage my asthma better. Although this seems to have helped in dramatically reducing my use of ventolin inhalers I know find I'm over breathing. It's as if my lungs aren't getting enough air. I feel as though my lungs are stretching too much and now I have slight pain in my left side of my chest. My hand on my left has been very painful lately also. I have difficulty picking up heavy objects.

What did your doc say when you mentioned that you think you are over breathing etc? it is very easy to think you have a chest pain when you are worried, btw and I often feel that way but I have had my heart tested and all is ok so I just ignore it when I think I have a pain.
