Left side pain

I started to see a new doctor to see if she can figure out my side problem....which i've had for over 13years.  Not one doctor can diagnose it.  She had all my medical records of all the tests i've had done.  I told her I don't want to go down the kidney route b/c it's not my kidney every test i've had done for my kidney comes back normal and fine.  Even though it started out as a kidney infection it's not that anymore.  She started out with the normal blood work and urinalisis and a chest x-ray, b/c I had her feel my left side and near there bottom of my ribs you can feel a bump and when you touch that bump it hurts so bad and i feel like i'd go into shock.  so that's why she ordered the chest x-ray thinking it was a bone spur, which was fine i was hopeing that she would find it was so I would just know for once what it is.  All my test came back normal and fine, and now she's not sure where to go from here.   She said i had 2 options i could go see a kidney specialist or i could go see a muscular and nerve specialist.  I'm just not sure where to go from here.....I honestly have no faith in doctors b/c in over 13years not one can figure out why I have this pain and what it is and where to go from here.  One doctor wanted me to be on pain managment which isn't something I want to do I don't want to be on pain meds all my life but then again I don't want to be in pain anymore either.    I'm posting this again to see if there's anyone out there that can help or give me any advice on where to go from here. I've basically giving up.  Plus when I saw my doctor last she acted as if she could care less and didn't know what to do....

I wonder if it's a nerve problem.  Maybe you have a damaged nerve, or maybe that lump is a cystor infection that is impinging on a nerve.  I would go for the muscle/nerve specialist.
