My left shoulder seizes up randomly and i have no clue why.

For about the past 8 months my left shoulder seizes up randomly with no warning. it feels tingly, sometimes painful, and i cant move it for a few seconds to 10 mins. i have no clue the cause of the seizing up. the only thing i can remember is me slamming my funny bone into the side of a table on accident. other than that i cant remember having any possible nerve damage and i do not have any chronic diseases. what could be causing my left shoulder to seize up like this?
