That you for everyone’s response. Just frustrating we did do a Rheumatoid factor lab work up and it was 15. So i feel like they are just shooting in the dark. I did forget to mention I do get a fever each time as well. Usually around 100-101
Carbon monoxide comes to mind-it can be present in very low quantities that give you flu-like effects. That could happen at work etc as well as home-wherever you spend time-your car even.
I don't know how one tests for carbon monoxide but you can buy at-home cheap little oximeters that measure your oxygenation rate. I assume your oxygenation rate would be low if carbon monoxide has crowded out some of your oxygen.
When I had RSV-B virus, I went to an ER and my oxygenation rate was 85%. They gave me oxygen which I was very grateful for. (I would like to have oxygen on tap at home lol.)
Also, have you had your water tested? Water quality is an increasing issue as we use and abuse our planet-many sources of contamination from rain, ground water, river water, lake water, piping, processing, and even after the water arrives at your home. in your home's plumbing.
Couple yrs ago I suddenly was getting ear infections after showering. Turns out the city was doing work nearby as was the landlord in our building. Once done, the ear infections stopped.
Water is a global issue. I believe we should have a 'gray' water pipelines across the US, similar to oil pipelines, for new management of flood waters, snowmelt, etc. Currently we let everything good bad and ugly drain into the ground waters, rivers, lakes, and oceans. and spend a fortune treating water to, ha ha, be safe for public consumption.
Hi Peanutbuttercups12.
You may have an underlying pathogenic infection, which is difficult to detect.
Should any blood draw be taken during an inactive phase of the infection, there might insufficient markers to make any determination.
The elevated CRP should be checked and monitored for the next few months.
It usually indicates inflammation related to infection, trauma or heart disease risk.
By itself it is not diagnostic as it not specific to a particular condition, just the level of inflammation, so more tests are necessary.
I would recommend you get your Thyroid FUNCTION checked.
As far as Thyroid testing goes, the most indicative & accurate for cellular thyroid function are: Free T3 (fT3), Free T4 (fT4) AND Reverse T3 (rT3)
All 3 are needed!
fT3/rT3 ratio is probably the most reliable marker for low cellular thyroid function.
To my opinion though we cannot find a better method to test on your own your thyroid function, other than Dr. Barnes Basal Temperature Test. (there are several versions now)
I have devoted countless of hours, scanning through the studies and groundbreaking work of Dr. Barnes, The Father of Hypothyroidism, lol!
Simply brilliant and way ahead of his time!
Instructions For Taking Basal Body Temperature:
Use an ordinary oral or rectal glass (not digital) thermometer.
Shake down the thermometer the night before, and place it on your nightstand.
The first thing in the morning BEFORE you get out of bed, place the thermometer under your arm for ten(10) minutes.
Record the temperature reading and date right away!
Repeat for 10 days.
Normal Range: 97.6 to 98.2
Averages below this range may indicate hypothyroidism.
A natural therapy for upper respiratory infections and conditions is Magnesium Chloride (pharmaceutical grade) 1 oz diluted in one Liter of spring water and sipped VERY SLOWLY( to avoid laxative effects) throughout the day, for 3-4 days.
This is worth looking into.
Taking measures to boost immune function is another thing you can consider while waiting for the Rheumy's appointment.
Optimize your nutritional intake, decrease stress, avoid anything that is not absolutely healthy, stay active, sleep 7-8 hours a night, drink plenty of spring water,
meditate, do yoga etc.
I hope this helps, however, please note that my comments are not intended as a replacement for medical advice.
Best wishes,
Niko
