Ingrown hairs like crazy and full hairs growing and tangling under skin

Hi guys,
I have been struggling very hard recently with my ingrown hair problem. Not only are they popping up everywhere  but theres hairs growing under my skin  that  seem to like tie together and form little craters or once recently i had an open sore on my cheek with very raised borders that didnt die down until i picked broken hairs from the  middle or from under the border

I exfoliate and have been with glycolic acid, differen sometimes, and moisturizing. They just won't go away. I made the mistake of wearing tight socks once and even that gave me an ingrown hair. Idk what to do and cant see a derm until october but idk if ill make it.

I have taken multiple antibiotics for folliculitis and a staph infection. I shave as little as possibleand keep as clean as possible

That's frustrating to not have a simple answer.  So, they think staph caused it?

Oh my gosh, what a pain in the butt!  I mean really.  I've had a few errant ingrown hairs and they drive you crazy.  I've picked them out too because of it which I'm not sure if you are supposed to do.

Do you have any skin conditions like eczema?  I know when you have that, this can be more chronic and worse. There are other underlying conditions that if they are there, this can occur more chronically and severely like you describe such as diabetes or immune system issues.  Have you had a general physical with lab work lately?  That might be a good idea too.  Keep trying with antibacterial soap in the areas this is happening.  But other than that, I'm out of ideas for you.  October is almost here.  But probably feels like forever to wait. I'm sorry.
