Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Weight gain with extreme hunger can be due to diabetes and this should be ruled out first. If you do not have diabetes then this could be due to severe acidity which is causing hunger and the extra you eat is causing weight gain.
The best thing would be to consult a general practitioner or PCP and try and assess what is the cause of your problem. Then proper referral for concerned specialist can take things further and get you proper treatment. Take care!
If you crave sweets grab fruits and vegies, stay away from refined sugar. Fruits are very swet and satisfying, less calories and much better nutrition. Try to eat 3-5 ounces of meat 2 times a day. and snack on fruits and vegies all day long. Don't worry about regular meals just eat lots of snacks of fruits and vegies all day.
I have a couple of questions for you. 1. Are you taking any medications, supplements or over the counter meds? 2. Have you ever been treated for or been diagnosed with clinical depression? 3. How long ago did you start feeling this way?
