Ok so I had a period two weeks ago and my periods are usually irregular and don't come often so I had mine two weeks ago and started taking birth control the day after and I took it for a week straight and kinda took it off and on the next week and today would be 2 weeks that I started taking the pill but I forgot to take it today and earlier this evening my period started with no signs of it coming well I put in a tampon and two hours later I took it out and had more blood in my underwear then anything and nothing was on my tampon and I had a lot of clear discharge on my legs. I don't know what it is and ovarian sits run in my family and I myself have had 2. I just need to know kinda what it is. Thanks :)

It is important to take your birth control pills properly. If you just started them and forgot to take a pill, that can definitely elicit you to start bleeding. Make sure you read your birth control pill instructions... it'll tell you the protocol for missing pills and such. If your discharge went back to normal, then it's probably because you took the pill you missed, thereby telling your body not to slough. Make sure you do not engage in unprotected sex if you've missed pills (they say a woman can still get pregnant on the pill after the first week---when they are supposed to be infertile---because of imperfect use of the pill) and furthermore, protected sex is a good idea on the brunt of it.
