Hi everyone,
I am 31, male and for a couple of months I have some weird symptoms, on and off. It started with having short episodes of PAC's (ectopic heartbeats caused by electrical disturbances) at night. I had them checked and monitored, and the docs have established they are PAC's and benign. Pfew.
During that first 'episode', my tummy was rumbling badly and making lots of noises. I thought they were connected and I still think so.
Now I have started to notice a pattern. When I am in bed, lying on my left side, nothing happens. No rumbling, no bloated feeling in my intestines, no palpiations.
When lying down on my right side however, after a few seconds my belly starts to feel bloated and my intestines start rumbling. Sometimes I feel some weird stuff in my heart too, sometimes palpiations.
So, I know that lying on your right side is 'harder' on the stomach and intestines because of compression and stomach fluids and such, but I have slept on my right side for 30 years without problems...
So what might have caused this sudden onset of more digestive problems that manifest themselves when lying on the right side?
I have had ECG's and an Event Recorder (and even captured some PAC's) and the doc's don't think I have a heart problem. So, this is problaby a digestive disorder then. (Silent) Reflux? hiatal hernia? Anyhing else?
I have no real digestive problems or bowel problems. No vomiting or weird stools, and feel nothing during the day. I do have sometimes post nasal drip.
If anyone has any idea, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
