Something IS wrong

I am 28 yrs old female. I have recurring upper left quadrant pain, radiating thru to under left shoulder blade that is  moderate, but severe when I inhale or move a certain way. I also have a constant "ate too much" feeling, and occasionally( for lack of better description) a heartbeat in my stomach area just below where the pain is. I have had several test on the heart as well as GI. Was at one point diagnosed as having a large gallstone blocking the common bile duct and was scheduled for gallbladder removal, but that had to be delayed due to pregnancy. After delivering, went back and this "golf ball" sized stone was no where to be found. Is this possible? Do you pass a gallstone? These symptoms have gone on for nearly 3 years now. I cannot get anyone to listen to me, because whatever it is hasn't killed me yet it must be fine, but I KNOW something is wrong I should not experience this type of pain regularly. and I have tried desperately to find some kind of pattern as to food, stress, time of occurance, ect. - nothing

You might have them check out your spleen as well. That can give you that feeling of being extremely full and cause the pain in the upper left area as well. Good luck to you.

It is possible to have a stone lodged in the biliary duct and can be very serious. Be persistent to find a physician that will listen especially since you have a history of gallstones.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The stone could have disintegrated to smaller ones, moved into the gall bladder of gone into the pancreatic duct. Advanced MRI techniques focusing on liver, gallbladder and pancreas should be done. Sharp stabbing pain under left ribs could be due to acidity with gastric reflux or hiatal hernia. Take a late night snack. Raise head end of bed. Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. Walking around also helps clear gas. I would strongly recommend you to see a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system) if these tips help you. Other than that it could also be costochondritis, pleuritis (inflammation of covering of lung) or pericarditis (inflammation of covering of heart). Since you do not mention any other symptoms, it is less likely to be any of these. Pain in the upper left abdomen and chest area can be due to stomach issues (GERD or hiatal hernia), spleen issues, due to an abscess below the left diaphragm, a hematoma (localized collection of blood), an abscess, or a muscle pull (as it happened while playing). Ultrasound would have ruled out spleen problems and an abscess below the left diaphragm. A CT scan would be more diagnostic.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
