These critters are very hard to get rid off. Plus they migrate to your pillow and blanket. I had to throw out the pillow, blanket and pillow cover. They have washes that kill them over-the-counter, but you will need a good shampoo and hair treatment afterwards.
well there hair lice, there are also different types of MITES, you cAN GET on your head. sometimes the mites can travel to your whole body. lice you can see without a microscope, some mites you need magnification.
there is a huge problem with mites going on right now. drs are not knowledgable and will tell you your delusional. there is also something called DEMODEX mites.
they actually bury themselves into the hair shaft, that maybe what you are feeling.
I don't want to freak you out, but do a search birdmites,
or go TOPIX, and put in birdmites, or ratmites start reading.
the only reason I even know about them, I own a house in Arizona, my has been renting it for 2 years, this last summer she started getting bit on her head a lot, then it started to travel, turns out it was mice mites.
ther3e were mice and squirrels livingunder the house.
this is a common thing in the desert, but very very hard to get rid of the mites.
