Mirena Coil Help!!!

I had the Mirena coil inserted in July after an operation to remove endometriosis. I was in extreme pain for the first 2months with constant bleeding. The bleeding has now stopped but the pain is back, worse than ever! Its in my lower tummy and my side going down to my left hip. I have been in and out of hospital since the op and nothing has been done. Swabs came back clear, although on an ultrasound, the consultant said that one of my kidneys were distended. I really don't know what to do, this is the worst pain ive ever experienced and after researching on the internet, I am a little worried that i could be pregnant. Is this possible? If anyone could help me, I would be so grateful!!

Hi Melly, these do not have a very good track record with some women, my wife had one back in the 80s, O yes that far back and she had to have a gyno visit with or doctor and he took it out, and took a couple weeks to get over it.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck

I had a coil inserted once, years ago, ( or rather is was called and IUD) whatever, I'm sure they work they work the same way. The same things happened to me, until I had it removed. It took a few weeks, but it gradually it got better. I have heard of several other people that experienced the same symptoms, so you may want to consider that you are someone that can't use them
