Razor cut on vaginal lip- now infected
Sunday evening I was shaving my vaginal area, including the lips( trying to be as careful as I could)
I discovered Monday I was very sore, I appeared to have a little cut on vagina lips which was red. Around this area was red,with lots of little bumps around where I'd shaved. ( inside the vagina lips)
( I was also on my period, from Saturday so it already stings as it is)
I also discovered 2 bumps right by the anal area( between the bum crack) which stung like anything. It appeared to be inflamed.
I made sure I showered that area without touching it to keep clean.
I went to doctors late afternoon Thursday as was in terrible pain. He said it was medical name beginning with P ( infection/ inflammation of follicles around vaginal area. Basically, the anal area has become inflamed n very sore because it has got infected.he prescribed me antibiotics which I am to take up to 7 days until finished. I started taking them at 4pm yesterday, but still haven't noticed much difference.
The cut appears to be there still, as stings when pee.. it stings like mad,also bum hole, Can any one offer any advice to cope? How long will the anti biotic ( with pennicilin) take to set in?

You wrote this on the 23rd, you should be having some relief by now. Sorry I did not see this question earlier I know it must be painful for you. If you still have any stinging use Triple Antibiotic ointment to protect and heal. And, the next time put this on as soon as you notice to prevent the infection you have now.
Also, antibiotics will offset many birth control pills and be ready to clean up a possible yeast infection, which the antibiotics may cause.

It will always take a day or two before you'll notice an improvement. if it doesn't start feeling better by tomorrow morning go back to the doctor for a different type of antibiotic. If it has been getting worse then go back today.

Hello Alexis, I've only started to feel better today. (Sunday) Doesn't sting to wee now. But now stings in anus. Discomfort mainly n stinging, the anti biotics have made me constipated. Take 4 per day. Hopefully start recovering properly tomorrow n Tuesday . Thank you for your answer x
