Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Bad dreams at night can be due to stress and anxiety. If you are stressed out through the day, have some fear or anxiety due to something or have had a traumatic experience in the past then this could be the cause. It could also be due to disturbed sleep patterns. Take up yoga or meditation. Drink plenty of water and eat a healthy diet. Cut down on coffee and tea. Exercise regularly. If still bad dreams persist consult a psychologist and a sleep specialist to analyze the cause.
Take care!

I have a lot of vivid dreams too and i'm constantly feeling tired but thats because I don't have a sleep pattern. Taking all of those sleeping tablets is not healthy for you and because you've been taking them for years you are now relying on them to help you sleep. I think that you should perhaps try reading before you try to sleep? stay relaxed and don't watch TV before bed. Also try a sleeping pattern like go to bed at the same time everynight and try to get up at the same time. I tried this and it helped me a lot.

First talk to your docter about the vivid dreams and you can try the B 12 vitamins that will help keep you awake during the day
