Hello,
Delaying of the periods just by two days does not mean that you can be pregnant. If your menses are delayed more than 10 days beyond the due date, with previous periods being regular and you have been sexually active, there is a very good chance of you having become pregnant.
In pregnancy, the growing tissues of the new conception (early fetus) secrete a special hormone into your body called ‘human Chorionic Gonadotrophin’ (HCG). This enters your blood as early as one week following fertilisation. You can do home urine for pregnancy test(UPT) after 1 week of your due periods date.Confirmation of pregnancy is done by ultrasonography(at 5-6 wks) or serum beta HCG.
If UPT comes negative, then look out for gastrointestinal conditions like peptic ulcers, gastroenteritis, Herniation and bowel obstruction etc.Various genitourinary, respiratory and vascular conditions are also incidental to pregnancy.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted on how you are doing.
Hi,
How are you?
The most common cause of amenorrhea is pregnancy in sexually active young women who use no protection. Also other symptoms of vomiting, back pain, emotional are seen in pregnancy.
I would suggest you to go ahead and do the home pregnancy test again. You can also get a urine HCG test done which is more accurate but needs to be done in a lab. If you do not want to get pregnant it is always advisable to use protection. Do keep us posted!
