Foot puncture injury

Yesterday I 'skewered' my foot just under the pinkie toe almost coming out the other end close to the next toe. I understand it just happened yesterday & still healing, but the 3 toes on that end of my foot are a bit numb and I cannot move them. Did I damage a nerve or a tendon? It was removed at an urgent care office and the doctor was not very helpful.

You need antibiotics to prevent an infection. I don't mean to sound alarmist, but I read about a teenager who nearly died of MRSA after stepping on a toothpick. You might have donenerve damage, but you have to give it time to heal first to see how it does.

You also need to be current on a tetnus shot.  Have you had one in the last several years?
