Trouble walking

Does anyone know what causes leg pain every time I stand up and walk that gets worse until I have to sit down or elevate my legs?  The pain is like heavy squeezing throughout both legs, that makes my legs get so heavy and stiff they are hard to move. I can not walk more than about 30 minutes.

The skin on my legs gets flushed, when I stand or walk, and the redness fades away when I elevate my legs.  The hair stopped growing on both legs and the skin feels cold.  My legs swell up and have[pitting edema at the end of the day.  The swelling foes away at night.

Sometimes my [palms get red when I walk, and if I raise my arms the redness fades in about 10 seconds, but it returns when I lower my arms.

My doctor has not diagnosed me in years and thought my leg pain was from spine problems.  I was sent to a neurologist who did an MRI of  my spine,  and said my spinal cord compression was not severe and was not causing my leg symptoms

Then last year I showed my swollen legs to my rheumatologist and she wrote in my medical record that the swelling was from  "pooling of blood in veins."  She never told me this in person.  I asked her about it later and she said I ask too many questions.

Is my leg pain from my blood vessels?

It sounds like you have vascular disease. Generally a color dopplar is indicated. In the meantime L-Arginine in three divided doses of 2-3 grams will assist. Consult with your physician about prescribing Losartan, even if your blood pressure is in order. Low-dose Losartan will relax the vasculature. You don't need more than 5 mg. It cause a systemic increase in body capacitance. Meantime take D3 supplements and alpha-omega fish oils supplements.

Thank you everyone.  You all gave good answers, but I had to pick just one.  To Jumong, I think you are right about my tissues not getting enough oxygen.  I am going to have to get another doctor who specializes in vascular problems. My upper arms hurt when I comb my hair.  I think this if v=from vascular problems, also.  And last night I had a dream where a doctor told me that I had blockage in my arteries in my legs.  This was scary.  Maybe this is what is wrong with me.  I have to find a doctor who will listen to me,. and believe me.  My current PCP ignored my leg symptoms and did  not refer me to a vascular specialist.  I don't know what to do?  Does anyone know a specialist in Cleveland, Ohio?

I might add that you require a thorough physical. You may have more than one medical problem. Swelling may be due to cardiac issues or kidney problems, among other things. If you have trouble understanding what the doctor says think about writing a medical release and having an articulate member of the family visit doctor with you. Another plan would be to request written copies of all previous exams (there may be a small cost) and have them available to discuss with a trusted family member. 1000 mg a day of crystaline (in a powder form) vitamin C will have many benefits, as well as being a mild diuretic, keeping the swelling down.

Oh - and if your doctor says "you ask too many questions", find a new primary care physician.

It is possible. The tissues in your legs are not getting enough oxygen, and that is very very bad for them.
