I am not a health professional; however, I have been a sickly child, from birth being a premie and all with asthma, skin and scalp issues. I don't like doctors and hate needles and taking medication; however, I would definitely seek a physicians care, preferably an eye specialist or a dermatologist.  Sounds like you may have an infection in your eyes.

It sounds like you have some kind of infection.  If you come back negative for pink eye, ask for a staph/strep culture.  I had conjunctivitis due to staph and 3 eye dr's treated me  for a typical pink eye infection which only seemed to make it worse.  Infections of the eye are not to be taken lightly.  I have permanent damage to my tear ducts and have chronic dry eye and discharge due to a delay in diagnosis/treatment.

I don't know but the only time I had pus coming out of my eye I had pink eye.  I thought I had something in my eye.  I was wearing eye protection but drilling in metal overhead, I thought I had a piece of metal.  Washed the eye out, nothing, sent me to the Opthamologist.  He didn't see anything washed out the eye again and said if it was irritated use a saline solution.   I woke up in the middle of the night with push and long strings of gunk and crusty.  Went to my doctor, it was pink eye, one of my friends daughters had a eye cold and I caught it.  You really need to see a doctor because if its pink eye, it's catchy, my boss had kids and didn't want me to come to work.  So, if you been around any kids with head or eye colds.  It's a pretty good chance you got it!   Good luck, I do feel for ya!
