What next..any ideas what it might be?

Dear all,

For the past 4 months I have experienced back pain, costochondritis, constant nausea and a chest infection. For my back I started yoga and find it helps. For costo just rest and tried to stop my allergies. For the chest infection i've just finished a course of doxycycline.

For the nausea.....nothing. I feel constantly sick from the moment I wake until I sleep. In addition I have apain in the left side of my chest, loss of appetite, faster heart beat, a dry cough especially in mornings or lying down and tiredness. Can any one provide any advice or suggest what might be going on, or what I can ask my doctor? It's just making life quite hard at present. I hoped it was just the chest infection unless the doxycyclie take a few days to wear off?

I do suffer from anxiety but these symptoms have been going on for 4 months and are not stress-related. Any advice would be great.

Hi
Thanks for the post!

Your symptoms could also be due to GERD or hiatal hernia. Both cause cough on lying down. Avoid heavy meals and eat at least an hour before bed time. Antacids too help in reducing the symptoms.
I understand that you are anxious. Try deep breathing exercises for this. You have started yoga, which should help him also.
However, I think you should discuss this with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
